Optional Third Day - $125.00
(9:00 am – Noon & 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm)
Day three is an opportunity for students to remain and continue to stitch Jacobean Starflower, or to stitch any other Crewel Work Company Kit they own. This third day would be more informal with Harriet offering assistance for any specific or general concerns with technique, best practices, or stiches. While it would be helpful to know which kits a student will be bringing, it is not necessary. If you are interested in bringing a large kit (Muncaster Bedhanging, Georgian Bouquet, or Glasgow Bedspread) please communicate that with Harriet prior to signing up.
Conversations during the third day may include, but are not limited to:
Blocking finished work
Binding hoops – the how and the why
Mounting finished work on foam core
Finishing into a cushion with fringe (brush trim), a zipper, and velvet backing.
Slate Frame 101
Managing hanks of Appleton Wool
Wool storage
